Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled System and Network Administrator in the Philippines. You will manage both on-premise and cloud environments, support M365/AD/Azure, and secure remote access with firewalls and VPNs.

The role requires hands-on experience with virtualization, monitoring, and incident resolution across multiple client environments. You will document configurations, participate in security assessments, and contribute to disaster recovery planning, while providing Level 1–2 support and

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in system and network administration.
Expertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure cloud platforms.
In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies and VPN solutions, including Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, and Fortinet.
Strong proficiency in VMware and other virtualization platforms.
Experience managing Windows desktop and server environments (2008–2022).
Proficiency with ticketing and remote management tools such as ConnectWise, Kaseya, and ServiceNow.
Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple client systems simultaneously.
Preferred: certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain client network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies
Manage on-premises and cloud server environments using Windows Server and virtualization technologies
Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure environments
Implement and maintain firewalls and VPN solutions to provide secure remote access and data protection
Monitor and manage intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and antivirus solutions
Perform security assessments, vulnerability scans, patch management, and system hardening
Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans with clients
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for system, network, and application issues
Diagnose and resolve issues using remote management tools
Troubleshoot desktop, system, and network problems across multiple client environments
Administer VMWare environments, including virtual server installation, configuration, and maintenance
Provide Azure cloud services expertise for scalable and resilient infrastructure
Collaborate with internal and external teams on IT solutions and support
Use ConnectWise, Kaseya, and ServiceNow to track, manage, and resolve support requests
Document configurations, troubleshooting efforts, and solutions
Proactively monitor network and system performance
Report on system performance, uptime, and security incidents to management and clients

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a System and Network Administrator
2+ years of experience in a helpdesk or technical support role
Expertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure cloud platforms
In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies and VPN solutions, including Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, and Fortinet
Strong proficiency in VMWare and other virtualization platforms
