Job summary

Dexcom is hiring to design and build applications for the Android platform. You will implement requirements on Android apps, write and update design documents, and help strengthen development efficiency while liaising with software test teams to ensure a high-quality product.

You will develop automated unit and integration tests, participate in design, code and test reviews, and propose enhancements to the apps to improve sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 0-2 years related experience.
• 1 year of native Android app development experience using Kotlin with Jetpack Compose; knowledge of Java is a plus.
• 0-1 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong documentation, testing, and coding discipline.
• Experience working in Agile teams and using Jira/Confluence.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and GitFlow.
• Experience writing automated tests using Espresso and Mockito.
• Knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP.

What makes you successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• You have a minimum of 1 year of native Android app development experience using Kotlin in combination with Jetpack Compose. Knowledge of Java is preferred.
• You have 0-1 years of professional software development experience
• You bring a high degree of diligence in documentation, testing and coding
• You have experience working in Agile teams & using tools such as Jira and Confluence
• You have experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Github Actions
• You have experience with version control tools such as Git, Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket and GitFlow
• You have experience writing automated tests using Espresso and Mokito
• You have working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP

Experience and Education:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 0-2 years related experience
