Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Senior iOS Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain iOS Apps and SDKs for a leading CGM device. You will join an established team driving reliable software delivery and high-quality code.

You will work in a collaborative, Agile environment, implement new technologies, and contribute to automated testing and design reviews to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years native iOS app development using Swift; 5 years of software development experience.
• Experience in Agile environments with Jira & Confluence.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control tools.
• Experience writing automated tests with XCTest/XCUITest.
• Knowledge of design patterns MVC/MVVM/MVP; SDK development.

Responsibilities

• Design and build applications for the iOS platform.
• Implement requirements on iOS apps, write and update design documents.
• Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to strengthen development efficiency.
• Interface with software test to ensure high-quality product.

Meet the team

Dexcom is hiring for a Senior iOS Software Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this position, you will be designing, developing and maintaining iOS Apps and/or SDKs for an industry leading CGM device, to help improve the lives of people with diabetes. You will be joining a well-established team & company, on an upward growth trajectory.

Where you come in

• You will design and build applications for the iOS platform
• You’ll implement requirements on iOS apps, write and update design documents
• We’ll rely on you to continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to strengthen development efficiency
• You’ll interface with software test to ensure high-quality product
• You will develop automated unit and integration tests
• You’ll participate in design, code and test reviews, provide technical leadership
• You will propose and implement enhancements to the apps to improve sustainability

What makes you successful

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• You have a minimum 2 years of native iOS app development experience using Swift and 5 years of professional software development experience
• You bring a high degree of diligence in documentation, testing and coding
• You have experience working in Agile teams & using tools such as Jira and Confluence
• You have experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Fastlane, Github Actions, SonarQube
• You have experience with version control tools such as Git, Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket and GitFlow
• You have experience writing automated tests using XCTest, XCUITest, Swift Testing
• You have working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP
• You have experience in developing SDK layer
• You have experience in working on iOS operating system with knowledge of dealing with multi-threaded environments
