Job summary

Dexcom Inc. is seeking an Android developer to design and build Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You will implement requirements, update design docs, and evaluate new technologies to boost development efficiency.

You will work with QA to ensure quality, develop unit and integration tests, and participate in reviews. A strong focus on robust documentation and sustainability of apps will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 1–2 years of native Android app development experience using Kotlin with Jetpack Compose.
• 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong documentation, testing and coding discipline.
• Experience in Agile teams and Jira/Confluence.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Git-based workflows (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, GitFlow).
• Experience writing automated tests with Espresso and Mokito.
• Familiarity with design patterns MVC, MVVM, MVP.

What makes you successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.


• You have a minimum of 1-2 years of native Android app development experience using Kotlin in combination with Jetpack Compose. Knowledge of Java is preferred.


• You have 3 years of professional software development experience


• You bring a high degree of diligence in documentation, testing and coding


• You have experience working in Agile teams & using tools such as Jira and Confluence


• You have experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Github Actions


• You have experience with version control tools such as Git, Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket and GitFlow


• You have experience writing automated tests using Espresso and Mokito


• You have working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP

Experience and Education:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’sdegree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or Master’s degree and 0-2 years equivalent experience.
