Job summary

SteelAsia Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a Survey / Water Resource Engineer to support planning, design, surveying, and implementation of civil and water infrastructure projects. The role includes FEED activities, engineering surveys, drawings, and compliance with standards.

The candidate will assist in hydrological analysis, drainage and water supply projects, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is preferred but not required.
• 2–3 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge in AUTOCAD, Sketchup, C3D, Construction Management, GNSS and survey equipment and hydraulic calculation.
• Must be willing to report to BGC, Taguig head office and perform site visits nationwide as required.

Responsibilities

• Support FEED activities, including design development and engineering documentation.
• Perform and assist in engineering surveys (topographic, GNSS, bathymetric, UAV LiDAR).
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, layouts, specifications, and as-built documentation.
• Assist in design and analysis of water resources, drainage, roads, etc.
• Support construction management activities (site inspections, progress monitoring, coordination).
• Conduct field investigations and data collection; verify site conditions.
• Process and interpret survey and engineering data for design and planning.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Maintain project records and technical documentation.

Job description

The Survey / Water Resource Engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, design, surveying, and implementation of civil and water infrastructure projects, including FEED, construction management, and engineering survey activities. Assists in the preparation of technical designs, drawings, and project documentation while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) activities, including technical studies, design development, and preparation of engineering documentation;
• Perform and assist in engineering surveys, including topographic, GNSS, bathymetric, and UAV/RPAS LiDAR mapping activities;
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, layouts, specifications, and as-built documentation;
• Assist in the design and analysis of water resources, drainage, stormwater, sewage, water supply, roads, earthworks, and other civil infrastructure projects;
• Support construction management activities, including site inspections, progress monitoring, technical coordination, and compliance checking;
• Conduct field investigations, data collection, and verification of site conditions;
• Process and interpret survey and engineering data for design and project planning;
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to support project delivery;
• Ensure engineering works comply with applicable standards, specifications, and quality requirements;
• Maintain project records, reports, and technical documentation;
• Performs other related tasks assigned from time to time

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of Civil Engineering;
• Licensed Civil Engineer is preferred but not required;
• At least 2 to 3 years of related work experience;
• Knowledge in AUTOCAD, Sketchup, C3D, Construction Management, GNSS and survey equipment and hydraulic calculation;
