• Promote and maintain the health of workers, identifying hazards in the workplace and preventing hazardous exposures on the job.
• Prepares and maintains sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
• Record of results of surveys, including the shape contour location, elevation, and dimensions of land and land features.
• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations that were conducted at survey sites.
• Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.
• Adjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy.
• Establish fixed points for use in mapmaking, utilizing geodetic and engineering instruments.
