Job Summary
The Supply Chain Systems Specialist is responsible for administering and supporting supply chain enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems that enable efficient procurement, supplier management and purchasing operations across multiple healthcare facilities.
Operating within a Global Business Services environment, this role supports cross-functional collaboration, operational excellence and service delivery outcomes by maintaining data integrity, managing system access, optimizing workflows and providing technical support to end users.
What you'll do
- Maintain item master and supplier master data within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy, completeness and alignment with established standards
- Manage user access by creating, updating and deactivating accounts while monitoring system utilization and security controls
- Coordinate supplier contract and pricing updates through accurate system configuration and contract data maintenance
- Support procurement teams and end users by resolving ERP system issues, data discrepancies and purchasing workflow inquiries
- Collaborate with sourcing, pharmacy procurement and supply chain stakeholders to implement new contracts, supplier conversions and item setups
- Maintain standard operating procedures and documentation related to ERP administration, data governance and operational controls
- Provide user guidance, system training and documentation to improve adoption and effective utilization of ERP tools
- Manage help desk activities including ticket triage, issue resolution, root cause analysis and escalation when needed
- Coordinate facility, department, account and purchasing hierarchy setup to support operational requirements
- Analyze purchasing and operational reports to identify trends, improve system performance and enhance user efficiency
- Monitor compliance with data maintenance standards and recommend process improvements that strengthen supply chain operations
Experience
- 2+ years of experience supporting supply chain enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications required
- Experience with item master management, supplier master management and purchasing systems required
- Experience supporting procurement, inventory management or supply chain operations preferred
- Previous experience as a Buyer, Materials Management System Administrator, Supply Chain Technician or related role within a healthcare environment preferred
- Knowledge of U.S. healthcare supply chain operations preferred
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system administration and support
- Knowledge of item master, supplier master and contract management processes
- Understanding of procurement, purchasing and supply chain workflows
- Knowledge of reporting, analytics and data management principles
- Familiarity with healthcare terminology and medical supply products
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
