Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Supply Chain & Inventory Compliance Analyst in a hybrid role, requiring you to work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

You will partner with finance teams to provide accounting analysis on contracts, standard costing, vendor rebates, and related supply chain transactions, while ensuring SOX controls and GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

  • First level university degree in finance or accounting required.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Typically 3+ years as a financial analyst.
  • Experience in supply chain accounting: Contract Manufacturing, Standard Costing, Vendor Rebates.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Supply Chain Accounting decisions and partner with finance teams (FP&A, tax) for accounting analysis.
  • Review contracts and amendments; interpret US GAAP and SEC guidance; document conclusions in memos.
  • Subject matter expertise in Contract Manufacturing, Standard Costing, Vendor Rebates, etc.
  • Understand SOX processes, risk and control matrices; follow SOX controls for Supply Chain Accounting.

Job Description

In the Finance and Corporate Strategy team we ensure that the business’s capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused. What you’ll do
  • This role will assist with Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Supply Chain Accounting decisions and will partner with business unit finance teams, corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax and others as necessary to provide accounting analysis and support on transactions and accounting issues related to contract manufacturing, standard costing, vendor rebates, excess & obsolescence reserves etc.
  • Review contracts and contract amendments and interpret U.S. GAAP accounting standards and SEC guidance to determine the accounting and financial reporting treatment for new, material, and/or complex, unusual transactions or agreements and document conclusions in accounting position memorandum and support the review process with management and external auditors.
  • Subject matter expertise include: Contact Manufacturing, Standard Costing, Vendor Rebates, etc.
  • Understand the SOX process flows, narratives, risk and control matrices of business processes and follow required SOX controls for Supply Chain Accounting matters.
Education and Experience Required
  • First level university degree with a focus in finance, accounting; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.
  • Big four public accounting experience a plus.
  • Typically 3+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
  • Typically experienced in supply chain accounting matters such as Contract Manufacturing, Standard Costing, Vendor Rebates, Product Financing Arrangements.

  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area.
