Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to lead quality and process control initiatives on the shop floor. The role collaborates with production and engineering to implement robust controls per the plan and to drive defect reduction.

You will lead 8D problem resolution with internal teams and customers, ensuring containment and timely disposition of non-conforming product, while promoting continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ECE/EE/CE/Mech) required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Promoting performance improvement and quality assurance programs throughout the organization.
• Supports continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensures product / process compliance with quality policies, procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Ensures compliance to the containment, rework, and inspection processes for non-conforming product.
• Leads disposition of non-conforming product and ensures timely disposition.
• Directing workers engaged in manufacturing process qualification, testing and measuring product, tabulating the data relating product quality.
• Determining relevant quality associated training requirements and delivering training.
• Monitoring OQA performance by collecting relevant data and preparing statistical reports.
• Has the authority and the responsibility to stop any process or product delivery in case of a non-conformance of customer expectations, safety, or environmental risks.
• Participate with the team in the process improvement activities and projects.
• Develop AGR&R trainings, plan and perform AGR&R for all inspectors along the production floor

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary focus of the Manufacturing Quality Engineer is executing product and process controls per the control plan in conjunction with the Plant’s production & engineering teams. Lead 8D problem resolution process for internal and external raised concern which includes close interaction with Customer Quality Engineer on the problem resolution updates.

RESPONSIBILITIES
