Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Quality Control Technician II to gather and analyze quality data, drive corrective actions, and support the Quality Engineer in metrics and audits. The role involves leading QA meetings, reviewing notices and reports, and ensuring proper documentation for NPI handovers and transfers.

The ideal candidate has a relevant engineering/science background with 1 year of experience, training in SPC/PFMEA, and familiarity with TL9000 standards, aiming to improve process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science preferred.
• College/engineering undergraduate with at least 1 year technical experience.
• Training in SPC, PFMEA, basic problem solving, reliability and risk assessment, 8D/RCCA generation.
• Knowledge of TL9000 quality framework and related audits.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze quality data and drive corrective actions.
• Lead Yield/OATF and QIP meetings with the Quality Engineer.
• Review Purging Notices, Quality Alerts, MRB, RMA, ECO and related documents.
• Prepare regular quality reports (Yield/OATF) and transfer-related reports.
• Support QE in NPI handover and review quality plans and deliverables.
• Monitor the transfer qualification and generate progress reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze quality data, initiate and follow up proactive corrective actions from other parties to improve quality performance continuously.
• Lead Yield/OATF and QIP meetings in support of the Quality Engineer.
• Release and/or review Purging Notice, Quality Alerts for In-process or customer issues, MRB, RMA, ECO, ePBR LRS and WIS.
• Raise Stop Build/Ship Notice for in-process issues
• Follow up root-cause analysis and containment actions for problems released by "Hold Shipment Notice.
• To prepare regular quality reports (Yield/OATF) and other related reports in support of the Quality Engineer
• Support QE in the NPI handover. Review/revise quality plan and provide other required deliverables.
• Work with the transfer team for qualification of a transfer product from other sites .
• Monitor the transfer, build completion and generate report for the transfer qualification.
• Prepare the burn-in test yield data regularly and recommend for reduction.
• Generate, maintain and submit required data on a regular basis for the TL9000 and/or other reports related to other certification bodies. Review with the Quality engineer.
• Corrective Action verification and effectiveness verification for line issues
• Ensure that containment actions for in-process or customer issues are implemented correctly by doing spot audits and monitoring data.

Qualifications

Education : Preferably college graduate in the field of Engineering or Science

Minimum Work Experience Required : College /engineering undergraduate level . Preferably with at least 1 year technical work experience .

Training/s Required: Basic Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) and Basic Problem Solving Technique , Reliability and Risk Assessment, 8D/RCCA Generation
