Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to execute product and process controls per the plant’s control plan, collaborating with production and engineering teams to drive quality improvements.

You will lead 8D problem resolution, ensure compliance with quality policies, and develop training and metrics to monitor OQA performance across the line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ECE/EE/Mech) required.
• Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and process controls.
• Experience with 8D problem solving and containment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary focus of the Manufacturing Quality Engineer is executing product and process controls per the control plan in conjunction with the Plant’s production & engineering teams. Lead 8D problem resolution process for internal and external raised concern which includes close interaction with Customer Quality Engineer on the problem resolution updates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promoting performance improvement and quality assurance programs throughout the organization.
• Supports continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensuring product / process compliance with quality policies, procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Ensures compliance to the containment, rework, and inspection processes for non-conforming product.
• Leads disposition of non-conforming product and ensures timely disposition.
• Directing workers engaged in manufacturing process qualification, testing and measuring product, tabulating the data relating product quality.
• Determining relevant quality associated training requirements and delivering training.
• Monitoring OQA performance by collecting relevant data and preparing statistical reports.
• Has the authority and the responsibility to stop any process or product delivery in case of a non-conformance of customer expectations, safety, or environmental risks.
• Participate with the team in the process improvement activities and projects.
• Develop AGR&R trainings, plan and perform AGR&R for all inspectors along the production floor

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e,g. ECE, EE, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
• Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing.
