Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to lead product and process controls per the control plan, collaborating with production and engineering teams. You will drive 8D problem resolution with the Customer Quality Engineer to ensure timely and effective solutions.

As part of the role, you will promote quality assurance programs, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry standards, containment, and inspection processes across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (e.g., ECE, EE, Computer/Mechanical).
• Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Promote performance improvement and quality assurance programs across the organization.
• Support continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure product/process compliance with quality policies and industry standards.
• Ensure containment, rework, and inspection of non-conforming product.
• Lead disposition of non-conforming product and timely updates.
• Direct workers in manufacturing qualification, testing and data collection on quality.
• Determine training needs and deliver quality-related training.
• Monitor OQA performance with data and statistical reports.
• Have authority to stop processes or deliveries for non-conformance.
• Participate in process improvement projects.
• Develop AGR&R trainings and perform AGR&R for inspectors on the floor.

Position Summary

The primary focus of the Manufacturing Quality Engineer is executing product and process controls per the control plan in conjunction with the Plant’s production & engineering teams. Lead 8D problem resolution process for internal and external raised concern which includes close interaction with Customer Quality Engineer on the problem resolution updates.

Responsibilities

• Promoting performance improvement and quality assurance programs throughout the organization.
• Supports continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensuring product / process compliance with quality policies, procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Ensures compliance to the containment, rework, and inspection processes for non-conforming product.
• Leads disposition of non-conforming product and ensures timely disposition.
• Directing workers engaged in manufacturing process qualification, testing and measuring product, tabulating the data relating product quality.
• Determining relevant quality associated training requirements and delivering training.
• Monitoring OQA performance by collecting relevant data and preparing statistical reports.
• Has the authority and the responsibility to stop any process or product delivery in case of a non-conformance of customer expectations, safety, or environmental risks.
• Participate with the team in the process improvement activities and projects.
• Develop AGR&R trainings, plan and perform AGR&R for all inspectors along the production floor

Qualifications
