Sunnies Inc. is seeking an Aircon Technician to keep stores, offices, and facilities in safe, functional condition. The role involves preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and timely repairs of air conditioning and cold storage systems.
You will maintain records, escalate major concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor, and coordinate with external contractors for specialized work, ensuring equipment remains safe and efficient.
The Aircon Technician is responsible for keeping the organization’s stores, offices, facilities, equipment, and fixtures in safe, functional, and good aesthetic condition.
Conduct routine inspections of air conditioning units and cold storage equipment to identify potential issues
Perform regular checks and maintenance of air conditioning units and cold storage systems
Conduct preventive maintenance and basic servicing of air conditioning units and cold storage equipment as required
Maintain accurate records of completed preventive maintenance and report recurring or major concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor
Recommend corrective actions when potential equipment issues are identified
Respond promptly to air conditioning/cold storage maintenance concerns, including emergencies
Diagnose and perform repairs for air conditioning concerns within established technical capabilities
Troubleshoot and address issues involving store air conditioning units and cold storage equipment
Conduct post-repair checks to ensure units are safe and operational
Escalate complex technical issues to the Maintenance Supervisor
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized aircon/refrigeration work as instructed
Maintain the aesthetic, cleanliness, and functionality of air conditioning and cold storage equipment
Conduct regular inspections to identify damaged or deteriorating cooling assets
Perform air conditioning maintenance and repairs at Headquarters
Maintain proper records of repairs and recurring equipment issues
Properly use, maintain, and store aircon tools, spare parts, and materials
Report damaged, missing, or defective aircon tools/equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor
At least College level or equivalent with a vocational/technical certificate
1-2 years of experience as an Aircon Technician or related field
Knowledge of general HVAC/cold storage maintenance processes and methods
Computer literate
