Job summary

Hefty Power Systems Corporation is seeking a site-based Civil Works Supervisor to oversee civil, structural, and engineering activities for substation and transmission line projects. You will supervise construction, review drawings, and coordinate with surveyors and discipline teams to ensure accurate setting-out and adherence to plans.

Responsibilities include monitoring foundations, backfilling, concreting, equipment foundations, drainage, roads and fencing; conducting site inspections;

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor civil works for substations and transmission line projects.
• Review and interpret approved civil, structural, and engineering drawings.
• Ensure proper execution of foundation, excavation, backfilling, concreting, and structural works according to plans.
• Supervise construction of equipment foundations, transformer foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, drainage systems, roads, and fencing within substations.
• Monitor transmission line foundation works, including tower/pole foundation excavation, rebar installation, formworks, concreting, and backfilling.
• Coordinate with surveyors for setting-out, elevation, alignment, and location of foundations.
• Conduct site inspections and verify that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, surveying, QA/QC, safety, and subcontractor teams.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and daily site activities to ensure project progress.
• Identify and resolve site issues, discrepancies, and construction constraints.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports, progress reports, inspection requests, and other project documentation.
• Ensure that civil works comply with quality and safety requirements.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, measurements, and preparation of material requirements.
• Monitor project progress and report delays or technical concerns to the Project Engineer/Project Manager.
• Conduct punch-list inspections and assist in the completion and turnover of civil works.
