Responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing all civil works for substation construction projects, including foundations, earthworks, drainage, trenches, concrete works, and structural installations. Ensures all site activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Supervise and manage daily civil construction activities for substation projects, including excavation, backfilling, formwork, rebar installation, concrete pouring, foundations, trenches, and structural works
- Ensure all civil works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, standards, and quality requirements
- Coordinate with electrical teams for joint trenching, grounding, equipment foundations, and installation interfaces
- Inspect civil works for quality, alignment, levels, materials, and workmanship before and during construction
- Verify that concrete works, soil compaction, and structural assemblies meet required standards through tests and inspections
- Prepare daily progress reports, work logs, inspection requests (IRs), and documentation for QA/QC and project records
- Review and implement approved method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and JSA/JHA (Job Safety Analysis)
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower, equipment, productivity, and adherence to schedule
- Identify site issues, propose technical solutions, and elevate concerns to supervisors when necessary
- Enforce project safety requirements, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure safe work practices on site
- Coordinate with suppliers and third-party laboratories for material deliveries and testing (concrete, soil, aggregates)
- Assist in site planning, materials forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure uninterrupted workflow
- Support completion, punch listing, and handover of civil works to the client and commissioning teams
