Job summary

Negros Electric and Power Corp. is seeking a Substations Project Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in Bacolod. You will support planning, design, and execution of substation projects, preparing electrical designs, cost estimates, and monitoring implementation.

Candidates should hold a BS in Electrical Engineering and be a Registered Electrical Engineer; driving license preferred. No professional experience required. Join a team focused on reliable power distribution and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• REE license required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Knowledge of load flow and capacity analysis.
• Strong project management and teamwork.
• Driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prerequisites and BOMs, cost estimates for substation projects.
• Prepare conceptual electrical designs and grid interconnections for substation projects.
• Conduct field inspections and site visits to monitor progress and identify issues.
• Prepare progress reports highlighting critical paths, issues, delays.
• Diagnose and resolve delays; support catch-up schedules.
• Ensure implementation complies with technical specs and safety standards.
• Prepare required documents, permits, and land acquisition requirements.
• Prepare TOR and CP for bidding documents.
• Assist in vendor selection and procurement for substation projects.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of high-voltage equipment.
• Uphold safety standards across the organization.
