Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Pampanga is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to develop and review designs for substation projects. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and have 3–5 years of experience in substation design or related fields. Proficiency in AutoCAD and a strong understanding of electrical standards are essential. This role involves coordination with engineers and overseeing the installation of equipment. Willingness to travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Electrical Engineer required; Professional Electrical Engineer is an advantage.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in substation design, construction, or related field.
• Willing to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review engineering designs for substation projects.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOMs) and equipment specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical engineers.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of substation equipment.
• Ensure designs comply with Philippine Electrical Code and other standards.
• Liaise with Distribution Utilities for permits and approvals.

Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD or similar electrical design software

Strong understanding of HV and MV power systems

Familiar with NGCP, Meralco, or other DU grid interconnection processes and standards

Experience in SCADA and relay protection

Prior experience with solar PV or renewable energy-related substation projects

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Licensed Registered Electrical Engineer)
