Job summary

ILO Construction, Inc. is seeking a qualified Structural Detailer to join our team in the Philippines. The incumbent will create drawings using TEKLA, review plans, and perform material calculations for steel structures.

The role requires a civil engineering background with 5–8 years of drafting or steel detailing experience, familiarity with NSCP and American codes, and proficiency in AutoCAD and related software. Safety and fast-paced project delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering (Civil) or related field.
• 5-8 years of work experience in drafting, 3D modelling, or steel detailing.
• Experience drafting for structural steel and building projects.
• Knowledge in modeling/editing 2D drawings and custom components.
• Experience with reinforced concrete design is a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and Autocad; Tekla is a MUST with familiarity in built-up sections.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Senior Structural Engineer; in her absence, to Project Development and Design Manager.
• Creates drawings of building plans and structures using TEKLA software.
• Reviews blueprints and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Performs calculations to determine materials needed for a job.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed during construction.
• Communicates with architects, engineers, and other team members on project details.
• Installs steel members such as I beams, columns, girders, and stairs using welding equipment.
• Determines the type of structural steel required based on design plans and codes.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.
• Has working experience with ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD, AutoCAD or equivalents.
• Familiar with NSCP and American codes (ACI, AISC, AISI).
• Able to recommend retrofitting designs for concrete and steel members.

• A sound understanding of engineering design principles would be beneficial
