Job summary

Realcognita is seeking a Structural Engineer experienced in Tekla and precast concrete detailing to support residential and commercial building projects in Metro Manila. You will read drawings, model structures, and ensure designs meet performance and safety requirements.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a minimum of five years in a similar capacity. Collaboration with project teams and ongoing professional development are emphasized within a dynamic global environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Tekla and Concrete Structures for modeling and detailing.
• Familiar with Revit and other drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Modeling, detailing, and drafting with precast concrete elements in Tekla.
• Reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings.
• Analyzing structural behavior and proposing practical solutions.
• Reviewing architectural and structural plans to align with Tekla models.
• Generating accurate shop drawings and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Collaborating with engineers and project managers to address challenges and improve workflows.

Job Responsibilities:

• Modeling, detailing, and drafting expertise with a strong focus on precast concrete elements.
• Reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings.
• Understanding structural behavior, including how elements connect and interact within a residential building.Knowledge of structural loads, compression, tension forces, and overall building performance and the capability to suggest structural solutions.
• Review and analyze architectural and structural plans to understand project requirements and integrate them into Tekla models.
• Precast modeling structures with precision in the Tekla environment, following established company standards and ensuring compatibility with design intent.
• Shop drawing creation and management generate, review, and issue detailed shop drawings that adhere to industry standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness for production.
• Worked with different engineers and project managers to address structural and design challenges, proposing practical solutions as needed.
• Contribute to the improvement of design and modeling processes, helping to streamline workflows and enhance productivity within the drafting and engineering team.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of working experience as a Structural Engineer or similar role.
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Must have a recent experience in the precast concrete and commercial and industrial buildings.
• Strong proficiency in Tekla and Concrete Structures for modeling and detailing.
• Familiarity with other BIM software, Revit, and drafting tools.
