Job summary

ABB, a global leader in electrification and automation, is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to serve as a design authority on medium-complexity projects. You will apply design-for-excellence concepts while contributing to cost-effective project outcomes.

With at least 5 years of structural engineering experience, you will work on steel structures and perform design verification, supporting testing, installation, and commissioning as part of ABB Global eHouse Team in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Strong experience in steel structure design and structural analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and STAAD Pro.
• Experience in industrial projects (Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Mining, or Data Centers).
• Good command of English and ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity.
• Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects cost-effectively.
• Apply basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts to projects.
• Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assist in preparing proposals/presentations of engineering projects.
• Perform design verification using checklists per applicable standards and guidelines.
