Job summary

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. is seeking a Streetlight Specialist in Tagum City, Philippines.

The role focuses on field surveys, streetlight system design, and cost estimation for new installations and expansions, working with the North Davao Engineering Support Department to meet targets and improve community services. Ideal candidates are Registered Electrical Engineers (BS in EE), with entry-level experience, and a strong grasp of safety standards, IMS guidelines, and asset management

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering).
• Entry-level position with no prior professional, leadership, or project experience required.
• Experience or familiarity with streetlight systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in DS&A tools and application platforms is preferred.
• Strong safety adherence and IMS awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys, prepare detailed engineering designs, and create material and labor cost estimates for streetlight installation and expansion projects.
• Formulate and review technical specifications of streetlights, perform luminaire voltage assessments, and inspect installations to ensure compliance with design standards.
• Develop schedules (Gantt charts) to plan, allocate, and optimize assets and resources for delivery of section targets.
• Record and organize project data in WAM, AGILA, and CC&B systems to track progress and requests.
• Review service provider reports and ensure compliance with ISO IMS, AMS, and safety guidelines.

As Streetlight Specialist, you will conduct site inspections, develop streetlight system designs, and prepare detailed cost estimates for new installations and system expansions to achieve section targets and performance metrics, and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the North Davao Engineering Support Department team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Conduct field surveys, prepare detailed engineering designs, and create material and labor cost estimates for streetlight installation, expansion, relocation, and asset enhancement projects.


• Formulate and review technical specifications of streetlights, perform luminaire voltage assessments, and inspect installations and decommissioning to ensure compliance with design standards.


• Develop schedules (Gantt charts) to plan, allocate, and optimize assets and resources (including service vehicles and storage areas) required to achieve section deliverables.


• Record and organize project and transaction data in WAM, AGILA, and CC&B systems to track the progress and completion of project applications and requests.


• Review service provider transaction reports, process resource time records, and ensure strict alignment with ISO IMS, Asset Management System (AMS), and safety guidelines.

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

• Demonstrates advanced capability in Streetlight Surveying (Level 4) and Streetlight Line & Fixture Management (Level 4) to execute assessments, verify assets, and deliver capital projects.


• Possesses strong knowledge of Streetlight Line Construction & Fixture Installation (Level 3) to evaluate and manage risks associated with construction.


• Exhibits proficiency in Light Vehicle Operation and Bucket Truck (Manlift) Operations (Level 3) to safely support field activities.


• Shows strong dedication to maintaining high safety, environmental (ISO IMS), and asset management standards in accordance with company policies.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering).


• Entry-level position (No prior professional, leadership, or project experience required).

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Digital Dexterity (Level 3): Proficiency in digital technologies, including Google Apps, Appsheet, Data Studio, and Postgres.


• Streetlight Budget Management (Level 2): Knowledge in planning, forecasting, and reviewing budget allocations to support efficient capital spending.


• Basic Awareness on Safety, Health, and Environment (Level 2): Application of IMS requirements, 1AP guidelines, and occupational safety/environmental laws.


• Hazardous Chemical Handling & Electrical Safety (Level 1): Safe handling of workplace hazards and electricity following IMS procedures.


• Basic Awareness on Asset Management System (AMS) (Level 1): Understanding of Asset Management System requirements to support asset use and investment.
