Job summary

Prima Solution Development and Construction Crop is seeking a Procurement/Technical Buyer in Metro Manila to source and negotiate for construction materials, equipment, and services. You will ensure compliance with specs, manage supplier relationships, and maintain procurement records.

The role requires reviewing PRFs/BOQs, obtaining quotations, and coordinating with project teams to meet delivery schedules. Strong negotiation, Excel skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in construction procurement or technical purchasing is preferred.
• Familiarity with construction materials is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret drawings, BOQs, material specifications and data sheets.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation and cost-comparison skills.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and procurement tracking.
• Good communication, documentation and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple urgent project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Source and canvass construction materials, equipment, tools, subcontracted services, and other project requirements.
• Review Purchase Requests (PRFs), BOQs, drawings, specifications, and other technical requirements before sourcing.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations based on price, technical compliance, quality, availability, payment terms, and delivery lead time.
• Verify that proposed materials and equipment comply with required specifications, brands, dimensions, ratings, and approved equivalents.
• Prepare quotation comparisons / canvass sheets and recommend suitable suppliers for approval.
• Negotiate prices, discounts, credit/payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders and related procurement documentation.
• Coordinate with QS/Budget, Engineering, Site Engineers, Project Managers/PICs, Accounting, and suppliers regarding purchasing requirements.
• Monitor outstanding Purchase Orders and ensure materials are delivered according to the required project schedule.
• Develop and maintain an updated supplier database, including pricing, product capabilities, lead times, and supplier performance.
