Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock in Manila seeks a Regulatory and Privacy Manager to support the Chief Compliance Officer in ensuring compliance with Philippine laws and internal policies across MP, MCBL, and MFP. The role drives privacy and regulatory governance, maintains systems like Archer, and escalates issues for timely resolution.

You will help implement the Regulatory Compliance Management Program, track new laws, coordinate with business units, and prepare regulatory reports for leadership review.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree; law degree preferred.
• 5–7 years in a compliance role within the financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of local Insurance laws and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Track and summarize newly issued laws, regulations, and regulatory issuances.
• Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Support compliance risk assessments and remediation plans.
• Coordinate with business units to document findings and action plans.
• Maintain accuracy of compliance systems including Archer and the Regulatory Reporting System.
• Prepare regulatory reports, submissions, and disclosures for CCO review.
