Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4 year business course.
• Preferably with 5 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Seeks vendors that offer quality products and services at acceptable price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Reviews proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Visits vendors to assess their capability when necessary.
• Oversees the purchase of materials to fill needs from forecasted requirements through purchase orders.
• Approves Purchase Orders and recommends approval of new suppliers for accreditation.
• Checks and approves List of Accredited Suppliers and monitors/reviews supplier performance.
• Coordinates with suppliers for issues, concerns or improvement opportunities.
• Evaluates performance of subordinates and assists Purchasing Manager with daily operations.
