Qualifications

Preferably with 5 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

Seeks vendors that offer a combination of quality products and services at an acceptable price level, availability, and delivery schedule.
Reviews proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
Visits vendors to assess their capability when necessary.
Oversees the purchase of materials to fill the needs of orders based on forecasted requirements through purchase orders.
Negotiates upscale accounts and approves Purchase Orders.
Recommends approval of new supplier for accreditation and checks/approves List of Accredited Suppliers.
Monitors/reviews performance of suppliers and coordinates with them for issues or improvements.
Evaluates performance of subordinates and assists the Purchasing Manager with daily operations of the department.
