Job summary

Manila HJR Marketing Corporation seeks a meticulous Purchasing Officer to source suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability, and to negotiate contracts and terms. You will prepare orders, monitor inventory, and ensure purchases align with budget and policies.

You will coordinate with Sales, Finance, Warehouse, and Operations, conduct market research for savings, and maintain accurate purchasing records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and inventory control.
• Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing systems/software.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment of supplies.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and budget requirements.
• Track deliveries and resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or defects.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, invoices, and supplier documentation.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Warehouse, and Operations departments.
• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements or changes.
