Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems, LLC is seeking an Operations Planner to create and manage production schedules and material plans, balancing efficiency with on-time delivery. This role builds foundational knowledge to analyze supply and demand, manage WIP, and resolve routine scheduling issues under general supervision.

You will work with production Senior Supervisors, buyers, and warehouse staff to optimize capacity, prioritize material flow, and minimize delays in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree.
• Solid understanding of production planning, inventory control, and MRP/ERP systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to on-time delivery by developing and maintaining detailed production schedules for a specific work center or product family.
• Delivers an effective plan by analyzing capacity, managing material requirements (MRP), and setting priorities for the factory floor.
• Enhances team success by working collaboratively with production Senior Supervisors, buyers, and warehouse staff to resolve scheduling conflicts and material shortages.
• Analyzes problems of limited scope and recommends effective solutions to improve workflow and minimize production delays.
