Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems is seeking an Operations Planner to develop and manage production schedules and material plans that align with the master schedule. This role builds on foundational knowledge to analyze supply and demand, manage WIP, and resolve routine scheduling issues under supervision.

The Operations Planner collaborates with production, buyers, and warehouse staff to ensure on-time delivery and efficient workflow, while leveraging ERP/MRP systems and strong analytical skills to optimize

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree.
Solid understanding of production planning, inventory control, and MRP/ERP systems.
Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

Contributes to on-time delivery by developing and maintaining detailed production schedules for a specific work center or product family.
Delivers an effective plan by analyzing capacity, managing material requirements (MRP), and setting priorities for the factory floor.
Enhances team success by working collaboratively with production Senior Supervisors, buyers, and warehouse staff to resolve scheduling conflicts and material shortages.
Analyzes problems of limited scope and recommends effective solutions to improve workflow and minimize production delays.
