Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Production Planner to evaluate material availability and organize production scheduling, ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels. The role interfaces with production and customer service to align schedules and commitments.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in planning, knowledge of production scheduling and lean manufacturing, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive improvements across the Planning department.

Qualifications

• Education in Industrial Engineering, Administrative Engineering, or related field.
• 2 years in Planning or related roles.
• Knowledge of production scheduling and supply chain.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Dynamic and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and organize material availability for production.
• Ensure materials are available per production plan.
• Manage production planning activities.
• Communicate production schedule to manufacturing for adjustments.
• Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Meet delivery commitments in agreed quantities and timelines.
• Analyze and design scheduling schemes to improve production control.
• Monitor KPIs for the Planning department and take corrective actions.
• Generate reports to monitor critical items.
• Collaborate with Customer Service to define delivery dates.
• Apply 5S and participate in improvement projects.
• Prioritize production based on urgency and capacity.
