Qualifications

• College degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, procurement, and strategic sourcing as a buyer.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools (Ariba, Check SCM, BirchStreet, SAP).
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize activities.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase order management and support the Procurement Supervisor in entering new purchase orders.
• Manage the re-order process and ensure accurate entry of purchase orders.
• Research potential vendors and interact with suppliers for quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
• Negotiate better prices and evaluate offers from vendors.
• Prepare cost analyses and ensure timely delivery of new products and re-orders.
• Identify replenishment problems and adjust store assortments based on inventory and timing.
• Maintain vendor communications and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Distribute and enforce vendor compliance standards.
• Identify growth opportunities and strategies with management.
• Monitor market trends and report findings to management.
• Attend relevant trade shows when necessary.
