Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an Advisor, Strategic Sourcing to own end-to-end sourcing for indirect categories. You will build relations with category partners, run competitive bids, negotiate contracts, and drive value through analytics.

You will collaborate with legal on contract drafting, manage supplier relations, and monitor performance across multiple categories, including IT software. US/global procurement experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of procurement experience; preference for category background.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement with indirect sourcing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Ariba or similar sourcing tools; hands-on CLM experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of contract review, risk mitigation and compliance.
• Category management expertise, especially IT software and indirect categories.
• Ability to manage multiple categories and complex sourcing projects independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across functions.
• Experience on cross-functional projects in a collaborative setting.
• Background in US or Global Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manages vendor relationships including selection, elimination and performance reviews.
• Develops project requests, reviews bids, and negotiates contracts with third-party vendors.
• Works with business partners to determine sourcing needs and provide indirect sourcing support.
• Collaborates with legal on contract drafting, negotiations and finalization.
• Maintains knowledge of contracts to navigate extensions and supplier relations.
• Submits purchase orders, approves and inputs contracts into sourcing systems.
• Stays abreast of strategic projects to ensure timely sourcing execution.
