Job summary

Shell in the Philippines is seeking a Reporting & Accounting Advisor to deliver accurate financial reporting, accounting and analytical support. The role ensures timely internal and external reporting, applies sound judgement to data challenges, and supports digital finance initiatives in a dynamic environment.

The position collaborates with finance stakeholders to drive performance, improve processes and governance, and maintain data integrity across finance operations in Makati.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting, accounting, finance operations, controllership, or related finance functions.
• Hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting processes.
• Sound understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, reporting standards, and internal controls.
• Experience using ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and analytics platforms.
• Exposure to process improvement, automation, or finance transformation.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) are preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver reporting and accounting activities: Execute reporting, accounting and analytical processes accurately and on time in accordance with established standards, governance requirements and service expectations.
• Perform financial analysis and reporting: Analyse financial information, identify trends, investigate variances and provide insights that support business and finance decision-making.
• Manage tactical projects and initiatives: Lead or contribute to reporting, information management and data-related projects that improve finance delivery and business outcomes.
• Support financial stewardship and controls: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, financial controls, reporting requirements and governance frameworks.
• Resolve reporting and data issues: Investigate and address reporting, accounting and data-related challenges, applying sound judgement and root-cause analysis techniques.
• Partner with stakeholders: Build effective working relationships with finance colleagues, business stakeholders and process owners to support reporting and accounting objectives.
• Contribute to process improvement: Identify opportunities for standardisation, simplification and continuous improvement across reporting and accounting activities.
• Leverage digital and analytical tools: Utilise reporting systems, analytics platforms and automation solutions to improve efficiency, reporting quality and insights generation.
• Maintain data quality and integrity: Ensure financial data is accurate, complete and reliable to support reporting, accounting and performance management activities.
• Support change implementation: Contribute to the adoption of new processes, technologies and ways of working within reporting and accounting operations.
