WERT PHILIPPINES, INC. in Manila seeks a seasoned Finance Leader to head the Finance Team, overseeing Treasury and Accounting, driving budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decisions.

The role requires 5+ years of management experience in retail/trading/manufacturing, strong MS Office skills, and SAP knowledge is a plus; you will engage with auditors and government agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years management experience in related field, preferably from retail/trading/manufacturing.
• Proficient in MS Office applications; SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Finance Team, overseeing Treasury and Accounting functions.
• Coach, mentor, and train team members, including developing their technical skills.
• Address personnel concerns within the team, such as conflicts, attendance and punctuality, and performance issues, with guidance and corrective action.
• As a member of the Management Committee, provide strategic direction to help the company achieve its goals.
• Support other departments with their finance-related needs.
• Forecast cash flow, borrowing needs, and funds available for investment, ensuring liquidity for operations and capital investments.
• Prepare daily and weekly bank balance reports, and monthly cash flow projections.
• Establish and maintain banking relationships to support investment and borrowing needs.
• Secure funding for operations and investments, balancing debt and equity.
• Invest funds in projects and securities with strong returns.
• Manage USD foreign currency purchases for import payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable to ensure collections stay within standards.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Analyze and interpret financial performance and present results with recommendations to management.
• Prepare additional analyses and reports as requested by management.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors; interact with government agencies (BIR, SEC).
• Review and verify Payments, POs, Pre-Approval Forms, vouchers, expense reports, including cash, credit card, and fleet expenses; sales incentives; duties and taxes on imports.
