Job summary

Sun Life in Manila region seeks a Senior Finance role to support Strategic Finance Initiatives and Accounting Advisory. The position focuses on evolving financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong policy governance to support cross-functional business needs.

The candidate will partner with Finance, Actuarial and Operations to implement accounting standards, review financial statements for regulatory alignment and drive process improvements within SFIAA.

Qualifications

• CPA designation is a requirement.
• At least 4 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Exposure to IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 in insurance is a plus.
• Knowledge of finance policies and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Finance policies and operating guidelines.
• Strengthen and reinforce the control structure with Finance policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align policies with goals.
• Identify process improvement opportunities across Finance processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate guidelines.
• Provide accounting guidance and prepare memos and guidelines.
• Lead system implementation and enhancements impacting accounting.
