Sun Life Philippines is seeking a finance professional to support SFIAA, focusing on finance policy development and accounting advisory. You will help maintain policies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

With at least 4 years in accounting and CPA designation, you will guide complex accounting issues, lead impact assessments of new standards, and mentor Finance teams on best practices.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or commerce.
• CPA designation is a requirement.
• Exposure to IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 implementation for insurance is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Development and maintenance of Finance policies and operating guidelines.
• Establish, strengthen, and reinforce the control structure through Finance policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align policies with goals.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and develop solutions.
• Ensure policies comply with regulatory requirements and corporate guidelines.
• Communicate policies and provide training as needed.
• Monitor effectiveness of policies and recommend updates.
• Serve as SME on Finance policies and guidelines.
• Accounting advisory: provide technical guidance on complex issues.
• Lead impact assessment of new accounting standards and implement plans.
• Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Operations to address accounting issues.
• Review financial statements for compliance.
• Monitor accounting trends and provide insights.
• Discuss with auditors as necessary.
• Other Finance initiatives: assess vendor viability and contracts.
• Develop templates to facilitate process improvements.
• Support Finance Academy activities.
