Job summary

First Balfour, Inc. is seeking a Cost Engineer to manage and control project costs in reference to tender budgets, ensuring commercial functions are executed per contract requirements and that project outcomes align with stakeholder expectations.

This role requires a degree in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, at least 2 years of construction cost experience, strong SAP/AutoCAD/MS Excel skills, and proficient English communication to coordinate with PMT, vendors, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering.
• At least 2 years of construction experience specializing in quantity surveying, cost analysis, and contract evaluation.
• Advanced knowledge in SAP, AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Good English communication skills, oral and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control the Project cost in reference to the tender budget.
• Implement commercial functions and ensure project delivery based on contract requirements.
• Budget preparation: cost split, project budget allocation, SAP setup, budget rehash/re-allocation.
• Commercial monitoring and control: measure work, monitor revenue, cash, cost, risks and opportunities, and issues for management.
• Contract management: variations, interim payments, closeout procedures, and joint venture compliance.
• Subcontract management: coordinate procurement, pre-order meetings, subcontracts, and vendor performance.
