Job summary

Globe Telecom, Inc. is seeking a Legal Counsel in the Philippines to provide comprehensive legal support, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect the company’s interests. The role reports to the Head of Legal and will engage with multiple business units to mitigate risk and enable compliant operations.

The successful candidate will advise on contracts, render opinions, stay updated on legal changes, and help develop policies and trainings to elevate the organization’s governance framework.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with Philippine bar admission.
• Experience providing legal advice to corporate operations.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist the Head of Legal in assigned duties.
• Collaborate with other departments to align legal strategy with business needs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Structure, draft, review and negotiate contracts/agreements.
• Provide strategic and practical advice on contract terms and risks.
• Render legal opinions on key matters.
• Monitor regulatory landscape and implement changes.
• Develop, maintain and improve legal guidelines and policies.
• Conduct trainings on legal matters and business processes.
• Support the department's KPIs and related objectives.
• Assist with regulatory correspondence and demand letters as needed.
