Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Purchasing or Procurement, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and supplier networks.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily purchasing operations and procurement activities
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
• Prepare cost comparison analyses, local costing, and foreign costing reports
• Process supplier accreditation, purchase orders, invoices, and payment-related transactions
• Coordinate with brokers and forwarders for import and logistics requirements
• Monitor supplier price lists and manage product returns when necessary
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, pricing, and compliance
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Oversee purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Coordinate with operations and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels
