Job summary

LBC Express, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement activities, from PR processing to PO issuance. You will canvass suppliers, evaluate quotations, negotiate terms, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective purchases.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of buying experience. Proficiency in SAP MM and Excel is preferred, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying operations.
• Experience in Purchase Requisition (PR) processing, Purchase Order (PO) preparation, supplier canvassing, and quotation evaluation.
• Knowledge of supplier negotiation, purchasing procedures, and basic cost analysis.
• Proficient in SAP MM and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong coordination, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling multiple purchasing transactions.
• Demonstrates integrity and compliance with established procurement policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process and validate Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in SAP in accordance with established procurement procedures and approval workflows.
• Source and canvass suppliers to obtain competitive quotations for requested goods and services.
• Evaluate supplier quotations based on price, quality, specifications, delivery lead time, and payment terms.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable purchasing arrangements.
• Prepare, process, and issue Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved requisitions and company guidelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal requestors regarding order specifications, delivery schedules, and other purchasing requirements.
• Monitor purchase orders and follow up on pending orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, and other procurement documents.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel and Accounts Payable regarding deliveries, receiving documents, invoice discrepancies, and payment concerns.
• Assist in supplier accreditation, performance monitoring, and compliance with company procurement policies.
• Prepare purchasing reports and maintain updated supplier records for monitoring and management review.
