Job summary

Meralco PowerGen seeks a proactive BD and GIS Officer (Geodetic Engineer) to drive geospatial project origination, land acquisition, and permitting for power generation initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, ensure regulatory compliance, and support growth in sustainable energy development.

The role emphasizes geodetic surveys, GIS data management, and stakeholder engagement to advance site screening, due diligence, and permitting processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geodetic Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Geodetic Engineer with active credentials.
• At least 5 years in geodetic surveying, GIS, land acquisition, permitting, and project development.
• Experience in power/energy sectors and project origination is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of land administration, property rights, and permitting processes.
• Proficiency in GIS software, surveying tech, spatial analysis, and mapping.

Responsibilities

• Lead Business Development and Project Origination efforts to identify and evaluate potential sites.
• Oversee land acquisition, geodetic surveys, and permitting requirements for project development.
• Provide GIS, land, and geodetic inputs for feasibility studies and business cases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities and partnerships.
• Engage with local government units, communities, and landowners to facilitate development.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting land and permitting for projects.
