Role Overview

The Strategic Advisory Consultant handles three critical areas: growing revenue via white space and identifying possible new business, delivering strategic advice and solutions, and sustaining client retention.

This position is tasked with generating leads and opportunities that contribute to Aon’s expansion from both new and existing clients. Maintaining client relationships and providing strategic value in broking engagements are essential. The role also involves creating and managing consulting projects related to employee benefits, wellbeing, human capital, or other people risk management solutions.

You will work as part of a team across the business to:

• Generate leads and turn them into opportunities that support Aon’s overall growth in strategic advisory, consulting or broking. Conduct discovery meetings, to uncover client needs and turn them into opportunities for growth contributing to benefits consulting, health and wellness, and overall human capital solutions
• Build client relationships that grow and develop into key business relationships, while also developing possible new business opportunities for other solution lines (whitespace).
• Lead projects, making sure high quality, timeliness, and profitability objectives are fulfilled
• Provide high quality, effective solutions to our clients in the fields of health, benefits, and overall human capital solutions
• Provide deep insights and meaningful client information from data collated
• Collaborate with senior consultants to create client solutions and approaches to respond to clients’ needs
• Deliver solutions and recommendations independently in a clear and organized manner to project management teams
• Participate in development of thought leadership material, content for speaking engagements at Aon signature events and other industry associations.

Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Organizational Psychology, Business Management, Engineering, or Human Resource
• Extensive proven experience in the human resources field specializing within talent management, including performance, skill, or leadership assessment and development. Prior consulting experience will be an added advantage
• Prior entrepreneurial or new business development or sales is a big plus
• Broad knowledge about day-to-day HR operations and how information issues integrate with HR functions and other areas of the organization
• Experience working on HR Transformation and labor planning projects
• Excellent business writing and communication skills, especially report writing
• Strong facilitation abilities, capable of leading workshop/training sessions successfully
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong project management abilities, capable of independently handling small projects while guaranteeing quality, timeliness, and profitability
• Proven client management or account management skills
• Lead and support business development activities
• Passionate about growth targets, revenue forecasting, prospecting
• Proactively connect within the market and identify new clients
• Enjoys building relationships and is a great teammate
• Assist our brand development initiatives through the creation and sharing of thought leadership in the market
