Job summary

STARBREAKER CORP is seeking a Supervising Barista to lead daily store operations and ensure top‑notch service at the Iligan branch. You will coach baristas, manage schedules, oversee cash handling, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards across shifts.

The role requires a minimum of three years in supervision within F&B, with barista experience considered a bonus. Flexible hours and multi-store oversight are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a supervisor in a restaurant, coffee shop, or similar F&B setting.
• Barista experience is a plus and an equivalent F&B service certificate is advantageous.
• Able to work flexible hours and oversee multiple stores/locations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address performance challenges, coach progress, and drive continuous improvement.
• Supervise baristas to ensure friendly, personalized service and educate customers on products.
• Train and oversee baristas, ensuring timely and proper beverage preparation.
• Ensure welfare, safety, and security of staff, location, and operations.
• Manage staff schedules to cover shifts across stores and coordinate with supervisors.
• Oversee cashiering and fund management, deposits, and sales reporting per policy.
• Maintain product knowledge and coffee preparation per approved methods.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of equipment and supplies.
• Keep store and cart clean and coordinate repairs/maintenance as needed.
• Implement company policies and update procedures as required.
• Assist in incidents investigations and timekeeping documentation.

Job description

1. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identifies Barista performance challenges, provides assistance, coaches their performance, monitors the progress of skillset, and capability for continuous improvement on the job.
• Supervises Barista to ensure that serving of all products is with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. Educates customers about all/premium beverage and food items.
• Trains and oversees Baristas and ensures that products are prepared by them according to the approved made and processed in a timely manner to meet the speed and demand of the market and or customers.
• Ensures welfare, safety, and security of employees, location, and store operation in general.
• Manages staff schedules to meet the required manpower in various shifts and activities of his assigned store/s.
• Coordinates with Team Leaders or Supervisors to balance manpower schedules and implement necessary staff movements.
• Oversees cashiering and operational fund management; ensures that standard fund/amount is available in a timely manner. Administers bank deposits and sales reporting according to policies and procedures.
• Maintains product expertise and prepares coffee mixture according to the approved made and process.
• Manages and implements cleanliness, sanitation, and overall food and beverage safety, functioning equipment, and supplies available for efficient operation of the store.
• Keeps workspace, and cart/store in its best condition. Coordinates all necessary repairs, refurbishing, and or maintenance jobs to ensure the overall look, and store/brand are according to approved identity.
• Implements company policies, procedures, and protocols and any others that the company may introduce or revise from time to time.
• Facilitates incident investigations involving employees or the general condition of the store, and its operation in relation with the lessor.
• Administers the reporting requirements on employee benefits or Timekeeping related documents - Daily Time Records, pay slips, uniforms, etc.
• Aids marketing promotions or store events and educate his staff accordingly.

2. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• With at least three (1) years actual experience as a supervisor in a restaurant, coffee shop, or equivalent experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Barista a plus, with an equivalent certificate course in food and beverage service, an advantage.
• Amenable to working on flexible operational, extended hours – as needed, and overseeing different stores/locations.
• Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it.
• Willing to be assigned in ILIGAN branch
