Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Store Supervisor to bridge management and frontline teams. You will oversee daily operations, drive sales, and lead staff toward an organized, productive store environment.

You will coach, schedule, and monitor performance, ensure policy compliance, and manage cash handling and safety procedures to uphold service quality and security.

Qualifications

• Direct and coach sales associates, cashiers, and warehouse helpers to complete tasks effectively.
• Ensure staff understand store policies, product knowledge, and safety standards.
• Experience with rostering and shift management to cover peak hours.
• Provide constructive feedback and address performance or conflicts promptly.
• Handle cash procedures, opening/closing, and security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities of sales associates, cashiers, and warehouse helpers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Orient new hires on store policies, product knowledge, customer service standards, and operational safety.
• Assist in creating staff rosters and manage shift schedules to ensure optimal floor coverage during peak hours.
• Provide ongoing feedback to staff, motivate the team to meet targets, and address performance issues or conflicts.
• Manage cash drawer counts, secure the premises, activate alarms, and ensure the store is clean and ready for business.
• Ensure the store operates in accordance with company policies, local labor laws, and safety regulations.
• Prepare daily or weekly reports on sales data, inventory discrepancies, and staff attendance.
• Oversee receiving of inbound shipments, check deliveries for accuracy against invoices, and coordinate with warehouse staff.
• Ensure shelves are properly stocked, promotional displays are set up correctly, and store layout aligns with visual branding guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory audits, and implement security measures to minimize shrinkage, theft, or product damage.
• Escalate and resolve complex customer complaints or returns that sales associates cannot handle independently.
• Monitor daily sales performance against targets and implement strategies to drive revenue.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service across the floor to build customer loyalty and positive store reputation.

About the role
