Job summary

SafeStep Philippines seeks a Store Manager for our Morong area to lead daily operations, including staffing, sales targets, budgets, and merchandising standards while ensuring excellent customer service.

Job description

• Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the store to include: staffing levels, sales quota, budgets financial goals.
• Analyze and document business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
• Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operations problems.
• Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation. Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
• Responsible for staff scheduling to include: work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
• Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers.
• Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service. Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales.
• Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
• Creative problem solving in a way that improves store service efficiency and productivity.
• Determine price schedules and discount rates. Maintaining a high standard of merchandising.
• Formulate pricing policies for merchandise, according to profitability requirements.
• Review operational records such as inventory and sales reports to project sales and determine profitability and to prepare reports for management.
• Performs other related duties that may be assigned by immediate superior.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a graduate of any 4 year course related to business or services
• With at least 2 years experience in managerial capacity preferably in retail industry such as fashion or merchandising company
• Preferably with POS knowledge
• Preferably with experience in actual store management &/or product management &/or merchandising
• Excellent leadership, analytical and PR skills
• Flexible; results-oriented and excellent in customer service
• With good command of oral and written communication
