Job summary

Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines) seeks a competent Steward with seagoing experience to be trained and expand knowledge aboard our technically advanced container vessels. The role emphasizes safety, quality of service and compliance with maritime standards.

Responsibilities include operating catering equipment and maintaining galley cleanliness, while adhering to ISM/ISPS, PPE, and emergency procedures. STCW 2010 Manila amendments certificates are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience as Steward on ocean-going vessels.
• Working knowledge of spoken English.
• Basic knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and security duties.
• PPE knowledge and familiarity with safety procedures.
• Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire-Abandonship-Oil Spill).
• Awareness of safety meetings and reporting near misses.

"Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines) is looking for competent Steward with relevant seagoing experience, willing to be trained, challenged and expand their knowledge onboard our technically advanced container vessels with the best and latest machinery.

A key position in the galley department onboard one of the world's largest Container shipping company where seafarers are onboarded and equipped to perform and contribute to deliver the vessel commitments. Seafarers are trained and guided in achieving their personal development and career advancement. We ensure to prioritize health and safety, promote diversity and inclusion and at all times carry out the upright practice both at sea and ashore.

Recruitment Criteria:

• Minimum of 12 months experience as Steward on ocean going vessels of relevant type/size
• Working knowledge of spoken English
• Basic knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and security related duties
• Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire-Abandonship-Man overboard-Oil Spill)
• Awareness of Safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents
• Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements
