Job summary

Winning English Academy is seeking a dedicated education leader to oversee academic delivery for winter and summer camps and drive STEAM curriculum development across programs throughout the year.

You will influence classroom quality, teacher development, and the academy's broader STEAM offerings, guiding staff through coaching and structured feedback to ensure high standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or TESOL or STEM-related field.
• 3–5 years teaching experience with academic/camp leadership.
• Experience training or mentoring teachers or facilitators.
• Excellent spoken and written English; able to model lessons and coach teachers.
• Familiarity with Design Thinking, CLIL, or project-based/experiential learning.
• Strong organization and ability to manage academic and operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum delivery using Design Thinking, CLIL, and project-based learning.
• Review lesson plans, materials, and assessments for different English proficiency levels.
• Prepare and coach facilitators through induction, daily briefings, feedback, and model lessons.
• Maintain a 1:4 mentor-to-student ratio and work with student services and operations teams.
• Oversee progress reporting, student presentations, and graduation activities.
• Develop STEAM materials and train teachers across year-round programs.
• Report academic outcomes and recommend improvements to the Academic Director.

About the role

Reporting to the Academic Director, you will lead academic delivery during winter and summer camps and guide STEAM curriculum development across other programs throughout the year. You will help shape how students learn science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through English. Your work will directly influence classroom quality, teacher development, and the academy's wider STEAM offering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead curriculum delivery using Design Thinking, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and project-based learning.
• Review lesson plans, materials, and assessments for different English proficiency levels.
• Prepare and coach facilitators through induction, daily briefings, constructive feedback, and model lessons.
• Maintain the camp's 1:4 mentor-to-student ratio and work with student services and operations teams to support student wellbeing and safe activities.
• Oversee progress reporting, student presentations, and graduation activities.
• Develop STEAM materials and train teachers across year-round programs.
• Report academic outcomes and recommend improvements to the Academic Director.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Education, TESOL, a STEM-related discipline, or a related field.
• Three to five years or more of teaching experience, including academic leadership, department leadership, or camp management.
• Experience managing, training, or mentoring teachers or facilitators.
• Excellent spoken and written English, with the proficiency to model lessons and coach teachers confidently.
• Familiarity with Design Thinking, CLIL, or project-based and experiential learning.
• Strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to manage academic and operational priorities.
