We are seeking an experienced and proactive Station Building Design Lead (Chief Design Engineer) to lead architectural design delivery for a major Design-Build railway infrastructure project.

As a key member of the project management team, you will work directly with the Employer, Engineer, Authorities, Design Consultants, and Construction Teams to ensure successful and timely delivery of design packages from development through approval stages.

Lead and manage architectural design development throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure design deliverables meet project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and contractual obligations.
Oversee design quality, consistency, constructability, and compliance.
Drive timely completion of Technical Design Documents (TDD) and Construction Tender Documents (CTD).
Manage and coordinate external design consultants from both technical and contractual perspectives.
Monitor consultant performance, design progress, resource allocation, and deliverable quality.
Review design submissions and provide technical guidance to achieve project objectives.
Ensure design schedules are maintained, and project milestones are achieved.
Act as the primary architectural interface between the Employer, Engineer, Authorities, Design Consultants, and internal project teams.
Chair technical and coordination meetings with key stakeholders.
Build consensus among stakeholders and facilitate timely decision-making.
Coordinate responses to review comments and approval requirements.
Identify and resolve technical, commercial, schedule, and interface-related issues during design development.
Evaluate design alternatives and recommend practical solutions balancing quality, cost, and project timeline.
Proactively manage design risks and implement mitigation measures.
Lead design submissions and approval processes with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
Coordinate resolution of comments and technical requirements from reviewing parties.
Work closely with Construction Teams to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and aligned with project execution strategies.
Support construction activities through design coordination and timely resolution of site-related issues.
Ensure effective integration between design intent and construction requirements.
Lead and mentor architectural/MEP/Structural engineers and supporting staff within the design team.
