Inchcape Digital seeks a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer to drive architectural strategy and cross-team alignment. You will shape large-scale systems, influence multiple engineering groups, and deliver business outcomes through technology.

You will collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Leaders and senior stakeholders to define the architectural vision, reduce risk, and build scalable platforms enabling faster delivery with confidence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience operating as Staff/Principal Engineer, Software Architect, or Technical Lead.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architecture and technical direction across systems and teams.
• Lead design of high-impact, cross-functional engineering initiatives.
• Drive key technical decisions balancing business value, speed, and system health.
• Identify and reduce systemic technical and operational risks.
• Serve as escalation point for critical or high-risk issues.
• Build shared platforms, patterns, and capabilities to scale team productivity.
• Mentor engineers on system design and trade-offs.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders on strategy and roadmap execution.
