Job summary

Moody’s Investors Service is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design scalable platform services and APIs that power Moody’s SaaS ecosystem. You will lead architecture discussions, drive strategic technical decisions, and collaborate with product teams to deliver reliable and secure software solutions.

You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and contribute to operational excellence through monitoring and documentation in a highly distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering scalable backend platforms.
• Strong expertise in Java and C#/.NET, API development, microservices, distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases, NoSQL, and cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, scalability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills within highly distributed engineering organizations.

The Platform Engineering team builds the foundational services, infrastructure, and tooling that power Moody’s Insurance Solutions products. By partnering closely with product engineering teams, the group enables scalable growth, operational excellence, and long-term platform modernization.
