Job summary

SINCERE HEALTHCARE GROUP (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a dedicated nurse to support doctors during outpatient visits and minor surgeries. You will manage patient case-notes, assist in examinations, and provide essential post-operative nursing care.

Required is a Diploma in Nursing with an active Singapore Nursing Board license and 2–3 years in Medical Specialist/Clinic settings; Mandarin speakers are preferred for client communication. Location near Novena MRT.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Valid Singapore Nursing Board Practicing License.
• 2–3 years nursing experience in Medical Specialist/Clinic settings.
• OT/AU certificate or Hospital Testimonial is an advantage.
• Experience in operating theater/anesthesia unit is an advantage.
• Mandarin speaker preferred to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctor in preparing patients' case-notes for daily outpatient visit.
• Assist doctor on physical clinical examination.
• Counsel patients on financial fees and related surgical & treatment procedures.
• Perform clinical nursing care such as wound dressing and post-surgical care instructions.
• Dispense medication to patients and assist with billing when needed.
• Prepare and check surgical items, equipment and instruments before procedures.
• Assist in pre-surgical briefings, vital signs, and patient preparation.
• Support doctors during minor surgeries and monitor recovery.
• Ensure proper disposal of sharps and bio-hazards.
• Stock check and replenishment of surgical and medical supplies.

Job description

Responsibilities:

Patient Management

• Assist doctor in preparation that patients’ case-notes for daily outpatient visit
• Assist doctor on physical clinical examination
• Conduct patient's counselling on financial fees and related surgical & treatment procedures
• Perform clinical nursing care procedure e.g. wound dressing, post surgical care advice and etc.
• Dispense medication to patient and billing when needed

Surgery Management

• Prepare and conduct checks on surgical items, medical equipment and instrument before a surgical procedure
• Administrate and prepare of patient for surgical procedure including pre-surgical briefing/ checks, taking of vital signs and etc.
• Provide assistance to doctor during minor clinical surgery and procedure
• Monitor patients' condition and progress during their recovery
• Ensure all sharps and bio-hazards are properly disposed
• Prepare and pack surgical items/instrument for sterilization and disinfection
• Conduct routine stock check and expiry validation / replenish of surgical, medical and other supplies
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum a Diploma in Nursing or equivalent
• Valid Singapore Nursing Board Practicing License
• Minimum 2-3 years nursing experience in Medical Specialist/ Clinic settings
• Possessed a valid OT / AU certificate or Hospital Testimonial will be an advantage
• Experience working in an operating theater / anesthesia unit will be considered an advantage
• Service oriented and enjoy interaction with people
• Mandarin speaker preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
